Great Little Monocular Scope! Highly recommend!

Perfect little scope for backyard bird watching. Scope is comfortable to hold in hand while adjusting focus. Phone holder works with iPhone 11 although not listed as a compatible phone in the description.

First photo is of scope with included tripod.

Second photo of juvenile hooded oriel taken at 20ft, using phone attachment with no camera zoom on iPhone.

Final two photos are of a radio tower at distance of 1.5 miles, taken unassisted and thru scope, using phone attachment with 2x camera zoom.

Highly recommend this scope as it is good quality at an affordable price. It provides great detail of objects at a distance and there is no distortion thru the lens as I have experienced with other affordable scopes.

Great optics

First, let me begin by saying that overall I have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Monocular, especially for the price. Since I only really have one negative comment for it, I will lead with that. The little tripod that was included is truly not worth wrestling with. If you can get it to hold a position, never touch the setup again, or it will start loosening and tip over. That would be ok if you were putting it on display, but not great for trying to look through or use for photos.

Literally, that is the only negative and it frankly is a small complaint. What to love? Price was awesome and the optics are really good. It is well built, and the focusing and zoom features are sturdy and effective. It took a little effort to get the phone to line up with the view port, but once it did, I was off and running with taking photos. The photos I included show two different scenarios - one taking pictures of a hummingbird and the other taking pictures of chickadees eating some seed. In both setups, I took a picture without the monocular and another with the monocular. I did not change zoom settings on my phone, so you are looking at a true "before and after" in both cases.

It does a great job of getting a crisp close image, and I am looking forward to trying it with some insect and flower photography I like doing as well.

One note: For my iPhone, I got a circular image with it at 1x zoom, but zooming in to 1.4x on the phone made the photos you see here. I left the same zoom setting for the shots without the monocular. If you get that "looking down a tunnel" image when you connect, try zooming in slightly with your phone to crop it out, or just crop the images after taking them.

I am very happy I got this, and look forward to using it a lot.

Works amazingly well

I am really impressed with this monocular. Pretty solid feel and works great. As you can see in the photos, the first shot is with a camera at 4000 ft. (my house across field .8 miles to hwy.) The cut between the tress is what you see in the next shots. The second and third shots are with my phone on it with magnification. I used only the things that came with the monocular and a Samsung S7 so not the most up to date camera around. These were the very first shots the first time I used the monocular. I didn't get it quite as focused as I could have and did in later shots, but I wanted to show what a first use picture looks like. I am mid 70s, not photo or tech gifted, so if I can do it anyone can.

Highly recommended. Affordable and good!

Wow, I am thoroughly amazed at the quality of this spotting scope. The image is crisp and clear. Setup is super easy to use. There is a standard 1/4-20 threads at the bottom of this unit, which allows it to be used on any tripod, mono-pod.

This kit even comes with a small tripod. However, I plan on using my photography tripod, as I will be sitting on a chair when using this (gun range).

This kit also comes with a cell phone holder, so you can record stills or video of what you plan to watch. Or use the phone to display your target at the gun range, no more squinting thru the lens, just take a quick glance at the cell phone screen and you’re set!

This kit also comes with both lens covers. The front lens cover is captive to the spotting scope and you won’t lose it. The sight viewer lens cap can be tethered with the included strap.

If my daughters air riflery starts up again, I will have her use this spotting scope. But due to Covid19, looks like that won’t be the case.
